jatzemis wrote a new post, Reflection on Class, on the site Teaching & Learning History 10 months, 3 weeks ago

This class was very informative, and we learned many things that will help us in our careers, but most of all we learned how to historically think. It was hard to train my brain to stop thinking about history […]

ThumbnailMy third story is about how prohibition ended. In the early 1920′s Cleveland was a booming city and was becoming one of the largest industrial cities in the nation. Life was good for many, especially for women […]

ThumbnailMy first story is about Eliot Ness. Ness was known throughout the U.S. for his work in Chicago. He was born and raised in Chicago, and eventually became Chicago’s safety director. He decided to joined […]

This is a very strong story. I really have nothing to add.

Good job Frank, again I think you have done some of the best work in the class. You seem to really understand what clevelandhistorical is looking for.

Good job Frank, I have no suggestions for you (mostly because you have pulled your stories off much better than I have been able to), but I am sure Professor Tebeau has great insight for you.

I agree with the others here, this was very interesting, but needs to be more “humanized.”

Good job Brian, I love your writing style, but I think that they are looking for an even richer narrative, so build on what you already have.

I love your photos in this story, they are very clear and interesting. Of course check your citations, but they were really great photos.

Awesome images Brian! I love how the images make the story come alive. I think that they are looking for a local touch though through a certain place in Cleveland. Like Frank I am no expert (I am having a lot of […]

I love this story, but I think that you need more text to really make the story come alive, because your pictures are pretty good.

I am no expert on this app, but some suggestions are the ones already given. Make sure that you cite your pictures, and get a few more pictures to help tell your story. I love how this story is personal for you.

I had a hard time following the story as well. I am not sure how you could make it easier to follow, but having bigger and clearer pictures with better captions might be something that would help you tell your story better.

This was interesting, but your photos need to be cited a little better because we need to know where they came from.

I like this story a lot, but I think there needs to be more photos to tell the story. Also, I agree with Daniel that the focus should be on Hanna.

I really like how you can use this story to add to the one that already exists. I also have a problem with a story that already exists, so I will have to take that advice. All in all this was an interesting story, […]
